A Summer Spearmint Tisane Recipe

Spearmint is a refreshing garden mint frequently used in blends. Tisane means herbal infusion, or a restorative herbal drink translated from French.  Try this refreshing drink after a full meal in a hot summer day or night.

Cook Time: 15 minutes                        Make 8 cups

Ingredients:

1¼ cups fresh mint leaves removed from their stalks, measured without packing
3¼ cups water

  1. Bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the washed mint leaves into the boiling water. Turn off the heat. Cover the pot.
  3. Steep 10 minutes.
  4. Pass through a strainer.
  5. Add an additional 4 or more cups hot water or ice and cold water.
  6. Enjoy hot or cold
