Our Approach

Dr. Lo will call you on the phone. It is an opportunity to discuss your health and wellness goals and for us to learn if you are a good candidate for our program. Be sure to read about the details of our Happy Health Essentials Program before you schedule the call.

Dr. Lo is a Functional Medicine consultant and cannot be your primary care provider. We recommend all patients maintain a relationship with a primary care provider. Our office does not offer after hours or on-call services. If you have an emergency, you will need to contact your primary care doctor or seek care at an emergency room. For female patients, we recommend you also maintain a relationship with an OB/gyn as we do not provide women’s preventative care such as pap smear.

We require 48 hours notice for a changed or cancelled appointment. A $500/ hour or $250/ 30minute cancellation fee will apply for a missed appointment. Cancellation notice can be given via phone, email or messaging through patient portal.

We take your privacy seriously. Please review our policy here. We only accept communications through our secure patient portal or phone system in order to protect your health information once you become our patient.

Yes, we offer video appointments through secure meetings.
Phone appointments are available for existing patients, but your initial visit must be in-person or by video.

You can schedule follow up appointments to be in person, by phone, or by video.
If you live in a state in which Dr. Lo is licensed, we ask that you return for an in-person visit at least once a year.

Yes, Dr. Lo works with children over the age of 8 years old.

Our clinic does not bill insurance at this time. If you have a PPO plan, your visits may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company at out-of-network provider rates. We recommend you check with your insurance company and ask them about your out-of-network coverage since the reimbursement rate varies with each individual.

We are not a Medicare provider and are opted out of the Medicare program.

Upon request, we will provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company directly for reimbursement. It will have an ICD-10 code for diagnosis and CPT codes for services performed.

If you would like to check on your insurance reimbursement before your visit, the CPT billing codes we use for the Initial visit are 99205 + 99354. Follow up visits are 99215 + 99354.

We do not guarantee reimbursements from your insurance company.

If you would like us to respond to insurance carrier requests for additional information about your claim, Dr.Lo will bill at a prorated amount of her hourly fee to submit this information if the request cannot be completed by the Patient Coordinator.

Yes, the fees should be reimbursable with your FSA/HSA/HRA. Please check with your plan to confirm.

For advanced testing done through blood work, we’ll use a lab local to you. For advanced testing done outside of blood work, these will be collected at home. Our team will ship these directly to your home, you’ll ship them back to the lab. All results will be shared with you on your secure patient portal.

Many tests are covered by insurance or HSA/FSA or Medi-care. It is not part of your Essentials Programs fee. We will discuss the necessity of any test, your budget and its cost with you before ordering it. We promise to be cost conscious without compromising your outcomes. We also negotiate the lowest lab prices for patients who have to pay out of pocket. The out of pocket costs of lab tests can range from $250 – $2000.

We value food as medicine and integrating therapeutic plans through lifestyle changes, but we find supplements to be very helpful in restoring and maintaining health.

We offer easy, online ordering for supplements. We hold our choices of supplements to the highest standards in terms of bioavailability, manufacturing practices, and quality control and sourcing. All our patients enjoy a 10% professional discount from our preferred stores.

The administrative cost of sending Medical Records to you or your doctor is $50. You have access to all your labs results through your portal, which you can download and save a copy. Please allow up to 10 business days after you have signed the release form to receive your records.

Yes. There is a minimum charge of $50, and there may be an additional charge prorated for any physician time spent that is greater than 15 minutes.

Once you graduate the Essentials program, most patients will enroll in our Gold Membership of $99 per month, which gives you access to up to 120 Mins appointments at 30 – 60 mins increments & portal messaging support every 12 months.  Additional appointments for members are available at $250/ 30 min for clinic follow up, $150 for osteopathic appointments.  For non Gold members, appointments are $350/ 30 minute for clinic follow up, $250 for osteopathic appointment. 

We want you to get the care that you need most. If, for any reason, you decide to stop our essentials program early, you will be fully refunded the difference between what you have already paid and what appointments you have already used within 1 year based on our regular rates with administrative fees.

Functional Medicine Consults are offered if you

• Want a 1 time appointment with Dr. Lo
• Want to review you health history and discuss your health in the context using principles of Functional Medicine
• Already have a doctor and want possible new directions for your doctor to implement
• Want to explore what your treatment would be like with our clinic before you commit to becoming a patient with our program and membership
• Dr. Lo will not be able to write prescriptions, or order lab testing without follow up appointments.

90 minutes video or phone consults – $1050

60 minutes video or phone consults – $700

• Looking for a clinician to oversee your treatment
