It’s not always easy to achieve or maintain optimal health. I know first-hand how challenging it can be. Let me tell you how I got here.
I thought my youth would last forever and like many in their twenties, I was careless about my health with too many late nights, a diet full of processed foods and alcohol, and too much stress. It wasn’t until I was sick the better part of a year that I realized, things had to change.
However, answers from conventional doctors to take a pill for every symptom were not satisfactory. I realized that if I wanted to change my health I first had to take responsibility for it.
I researched on health and nutrition information, and I found that my health challenges were not unique! Many people, burnt out by the pace of modern life felt overwhelmed about how to address their own health struggles. As much as a I wanted to help myself, I also wanted to help others, so I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Armed with new tools and resources, the changes I was making steadily improved my health. I began managing my stress through regular meditation and mindfulness practice. My brain fog dissipated, my periods regulated, my anxiety lessened and I had more energy for friends and fun activities. I WAS LIVING MY LIFE!
As an educator for adult learners for 7 years, I’d had plenty of experience helping students envision their goals, and supporting them towards their aims. Coaching was a natural fit for me! Now, I am ready to take my passion and skills to a broader audience. Working in a health care team with Dr. Onna Lo’s practice, I can impact more people while collaborating with a team who is passionate about helping people live with energy, passion and gusto.
